How to Volunteer
Volunteer opportunities are open to all ASU students, faculty, and staff. All you need to give back to the environment is a day off and the willingness to come out and do some trail maintenance and building. All tools are provided and generally you only need bring your own water, lunch, clothes that can get dirty, as well as clothes for inclement weather. Check the home page and calendar for upcoming maintenance events. You do not need to be a member of the club, although membership is free, to come out with us. We commonly carpool to worksites and may be able to reimburse you for gas expenses if you drive. Contact us to find out more about helping out on Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina's newest state park!
Also, the rangers at Elk Knob State Park coordinate volunteers each Saturday from 9-3pm, April thru as long as the weather holds up if you want to work with them outside of our scheduled Trail Crew events there. That said, we are happy to help coordinate your interest in working on area trails, be it at Elk Knob or elsewhere so don't hesitate to Contact Us.
Shoot us an email to email@example.com if you are interested in coming out to future Trail Crew events.
